Game Preview: Game 77: Philadelphia 76ers @ Brooklyn Nets

9 Apr

The Nets are in Brooklyn tonight to take on the Philadelphia 76ers. With just 6 games left in the season, the Nets must win out in order to jump Indiana. The Nets also need some help if they are going to move up, by having Indiana go 1-4 in their last five games. Brooklyn is virtually locked to play Chicago in round one.

Who? Brooklyn Nets (44-32) vs. Philadelphia 76ers (31-45)

When? 7:30 PM Eastern

Where? Barclays Center – Brooklyn, New York

Where do I watch? WWOR 9/NBA League Pass

Philly has been a pretty bad team all year long. The 76ers had high expectations going into the season, after trading All-Star Andre Iguodala for stud big man Andrew Bynum. However, Philadelphia ended up losing that deal terribly, as Bynum has yet to suit up for a single game as a 76er, and is an impending Free Agent. It will be interesting to see if the 76ers are willing to give Bynum the max after not playing a single game for them.

The Nets hope to start a winning streak tonight and have momentum on their side heading into the Post-Season. With only six games left, Brooklyn needs to be prepared for the playoffs, something they haven’t done since 2007, when not a single current Net was on the team.

Prediction:
Brooklyn knowing they need to start something heading into the playoffs wins comfortable, 105-89.
