Game Preview: Game 81: Washington Wizards @ Brooklyn Nets

15 Apr

The Nets are now locked in the fourth seed, after yesterday afternoon’s loss in Toronto. Brooklyn wasn’t able to overcome a big deficit, despite being down only 4 with under a minute left. It is not yet known whether the Nets will rest their starters for the last two games before the playoffs. Regardless, expect to see a lot of Tyshawn Taylor, Mirza Teletovic and Toko Shengelia (TOKO!!).

Who? Brooklyn Nets (47-33) vs. Washington Wizards (29-51)

When? 7:30 PM Eastern

Where? Barclays Center – Brooklyn, New York

Where do I watch? YES Network/NBA League Pass

Washington has been one of the worst teams in the NBA all season. They had a pretty decent stretch when John Wall came back, but since have gone back to being awful. Washington is without Nene, Bradley Beal and potentially Trevor Ariza, three of their starters. It shouldn’t be close, whether or not Brooklyn rests their starters.

Last time these two teams met, Deron Williams made history with an incredible shooting performance. Williams made nine first half three pointers, and 11 total for the game. While those numbers are magical and are unlikely to happen again, Washington shouldn’t be a problem for the playoff-bound Nets.

Regardless of whether they rest the starters, Brooklyn will have no issue tonight. Brooklyn wins, 96-81.
